Gaziantep Chamber of Industry URGE Textile Sector Carpet and Yarn Companies Trade Delegation and bilateral business meetings organization

Within the scope of Gaziantep Chamber of Industry Market Research and Market Entry Support; As the Turkish Canada Business Centre, we have successfully organized the Trade Delegation and bilateral business meetings that we held in the city of Toronto for URGE Textile sector companies (yarn and carpet).

Our Trade Committee, consisting of 222 exporting companies, had the opportunity to learn about Canadian consumer demands, trends in the carpet and home decoration sector, as well as to see the advantages offered by the Canadian market on the first day, at the information meeting on the introduction to the Canadian market prepared by our experts. In the presentation given by our marketing team specialized in the Canadian retail sector, the basic factors of entering the Canadian market and getting a share from the market were explained to our participants in detail.

Our delegation, which visited companies that dominate the Canadian market such as Walmart, Bricks, Home Sense and Leons and met with the purchasing authorities, had the opportunity to receive answers to their questions about the Canadian market from the most authoritative mouths. During our retail company tour, our delegation got detailed ideas about the companies, brands, products and prices already operating in the market. In addition to the Toronto and Ontario regions, 71 Canadian companies operating in the Montreal and Quebec regions attended the bilateral business meetings we held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in the city center of Toronto, and they held more than 150 bilateral business meetings.

Our annual report, which consists of a comprehensive database containing the information of the companies visited during the Commercial Delegation, the institutions held meetings, the bilateral business meetings and the Canadian carpet importer companies, was prepared by us as the Turkish Canada Business Centre and conveyed to the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry. Trakya Development Agency Sectoral Delegation and Trade Delegation Study Visit

June 22 2014 - June 29 2014

The study visit of the 30-person delegation, consisting of the members of the board of directors, the mayors of Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ, the rectors of Namık Kemal University and Trakya University, the presidents of the chamber of commerce and industry, and businessmen by the Trakya Development Agency, to Canada between 22-29 June 2014 was organized by us as the Turkish Canada Business Centre. Our delegation, which started its programs by visiting educational institutions such as the University of Toronto and Ryerson University in Toronto, which are among the most prestigious universities in the world, held meetings on inter-university cooperation and made examinations at universities and entrepreneurship centers. Our delegation introduced the Thrace region to Canadian investors and exchanged views on cooperation potentials at the informative meetings organized in the cities of Montreal and Toronto, to which Turkish business people, Canadian and Turkish government officials and Canadian investors were invited. Visiting the City of Toronto, our delegation met with the members of the City's Economic and Social Affairs Committee and got information about the municipality's work and the technologies used. At the end of the negotiations conducted under the chairmanship of Trakya Development Agency General Secretary Mahmut Şahin, a cooperation protocol was signed between the Toronto Municipality and the agency.

Our delegation, which conducted studies at educational institutions that have an important place in the world in entrepreneurship and technological research such as the University of Western Ontario, Waterloo and Guelph universities, later came together with mayors and officials in the cities of Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City, science centers, industry and In addition to chambers of commerce, they visited the most prestigious universities in Canada and the world such as Mc Gill, Concordia University, University of Montreal and University of Laval and made examinations. During the 7-day working visit of our delegation consisting of 30 people, appointments, meeting venues, communication and PR activities for all official meetings held with municipalities, chambers of commerce and industry, universities, government institutions and businessmen were organized by the Turkish Canada Business Centre. WEST MEDITERRANEAN EXPORTERS ASSOCIATION Western Mediterranean Natural Stone Cluster URGE Project Canada Overseas Marketing Program

November 28 2016 – December 03 2016

The commercial delegation organized by the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association to Canada within the scope of the Western Mediterranean Natural Stone Cluster URGE Project was organized by us as the Turkish Canada Business Centre. Our delegation, consisting of eight natural stone export companies and the officials of the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association, participated in the "Construct Canada- The Buildings Show", the largest construction fair of Canada, held between November 30, 2016 - December 2, 2016 and exhibited their products at the stand of the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association. They established important business contacts.

Within the scope of the Retail Tour organized by the expert staff of the Turkish Canada Business Centre, our delegation, which we brought together with the purchasing officials of Lowes, Rona, Stone Tile and Ciot construction markets, closely examined the product range in the Canadian market, the brands and prices in the market, and got information about Canadian consumer trends. As part of the meetings we organized with wholesaler and importer companies, we visited Toronto's largest companies operating on building materials such as Olympia Tile, Marble Granite Depot, Crystal Tile, Ceragres and Anatolian Tile and held information meetings with the authorities. Our delegation members, who gave information about Western Mediterranean natural stones to Toronto construction companies, exhibited their products and introduced their companies, established important business connections.

As the Turkish Canada Business Centre, we have successfully organized the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association Canadian Trade Delegation and the fair participation organization with all the details. Before the visit of our delegation, we prepared our sector research, which was prepared by our experts and included detailed information about the Canadian construction sector, in order to introduce the Canadian market and delivered it to our exporting companies. In order to promote the Turkish confectionery and chocolate industry effectively in the world markets and to support its branding, the Confectionary Products Promotion Group (ŞTG), which determined Canada as one of the target markets, participated in the SIAL Canada Fair, which is considered one of the largest and most important food fairs in North America, 2014 ( Montreal), 2015 (Toronto) and 2016 (Montreal) participation was organized by us as the Turkish Canada Business Centre.

Within the scope of SIAL Canada Fair, which is considered as one of the largest and most important food fairs in North America, contact with hundreds of purchasing officials and hundreds of bilateral business meetings were organized by the Turkish Canada Business Centre's specialized staff in the Canadian FMCG sector. Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Terroir Gastronomy Symposium Delegation

With the inclusion of Gaziantep in the UNESCO "Creative Cities Network" in the Gastronomy branch, all the organizations of the Canadian delegation to the Terroir Gastronomy Symposium, attended by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, which represents the culinary culture abroad, between April 22, 2016 - April 28, 2016, were organized by us as the Turkish Canada Business Centre.

World-class cooks and gastronomy writers attended the Terroir Symposium, one of the most important events in the field of Gastronomy in North America. A feast of taste was experienced in the symposium, where presentations of different flavors were made and new cuisines and flavors were discovered. During the intense Symposium, various seminars were given to introduce Gaziantep cuisine to new talents and detailed information was given to veteran chefs.
